so i was lying on the floor near the stereo, trying to figure out how to play madeleine peyroux from my computer over the speakers when my kitty came and kneaded her paws all over my back, then settled down in the cushiest part. it was so nice and warm and toasty! i didn’t have my camera and i knew she’d move as soon as i did and not be interested in returning, so i just gave up and enjoyed the warmth. she eventually got up and stretched and wandered off to some other part of the house. in the hopes that maybe she’d return, i hopped up and got my camera, then settled back in front of the computer to finish my work. soon, the other kitty came by and did the same thing! so, here’s the photo, taken backwards, over my head. doesn’t she look pleased with herself?
what a wonderful fall afternoon–slightly chilly weather, pot of spaghetti sauce stewing on the stove, clean house, madeleine peyroux music (yep, i finally got it to work!) and a cozy cat on my butt.
