i just realized that the version of my last post that got published was not the version that included the links to the shops that inspired the dolls, so without further ado, here are my favorite (current favorite anyway) doll shops on etsy:
sophie & lili (jenniferv)–i first saw these dolls on shim + sons, but i ran across them by accident during my etsy search. i love how customizable they are, but i decided i wanted something a little more bendy.
violastudio— although the “sundance kid” doll was the one i was most attracted to for the purposes of this project, i’m having a terrible time avoiding the temptation of purchasing one of her fabulous bandit animals. so stinkin’ cute!
warm sugar–i stared for ages at the fourth picture down on the “paxton custom doll” listing. that hat! the shoes! sigh.
we’ll see if i get around to making a final version of the doll for the happy baby. my grad school class starts next week, so it may be awhile…
