remember when i got a bento box in the mail<\/a>?\u00c2\u00a0 well, i finally got a chance to use it today.\u00c2\u00a0 hmmm…. making a pretty one is a little harder than it looks.\u00c2\u00a0 here’s what i ended up with:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

yeah.\u00c2\u00a0 the top box is all white food.\u00c2\u00a0 that’s not great.\u00c2\u00a0 plus, there’s too much wiggle room in that top box and everything was\u00c2\u00a0 all squished to one side when i opened the box.\u00c2\u00a0 oh well, still tasty.\u00c2\u00a0 the top box is trader joe’s chinese dumplings and plain rice balls.\u00c2\u00a0 the bottom box was leftover beef from shish-ka-bobs, and broccoli–steamed\u00c2\u00a0 (until not crunchy–see note on green beans from yesterday) and salted, then tossed with soy sauce, lemon juice, and a dash of worchestershire.\u00c2\u00a0 the broccoli was way better than i’d thought it would be.\u00c2\u00a0 in fact, everything was way better than i’d thought it would be.\u00c2\u00a0 do you think it was because it was in this cute container?\u00c2\u00a0 maybe….<\/p>\n

i also realized i needed something to drink and some utensils, so i decided to stop at the moco market<\/a> again because i remembered that they had fun bottled fruity drinks and free chopsticks.\u00c2\u00a0 and of course, i couldn’t resist buying another plate of “frushi.”<\/p>\n

y’know, the more i look at it, the more that bento box sort of looks like a cloudy day above a boulder-filled forest.\u00c2\u00a0 maybe i accidentally did make a pretty one!<\/p>\n
