<\/p>\ntoday was the last day of a four day weekend for me (i still love working 80%!) and last night, mr. happy stuff asked what i had planned for the day.\u00c2\u00a0 i said, “well, there’s a big list of things i could do, but if i had my ‘druthers, i would read and sew at some point tomorrow.”\u00c2\u00a0 apparently, i do have my ‘druthers!\u00c2\u00a0 i finished reading a whole (kids’ chapter) book while sitting in my hammock chair, and i got a little further on my current work-in-progress–a quilted throw.\u00c2\u00a0 here’s a teaser of the quilt:<\/p>\n

granted, i got lots of other things done as well (cooking, laundry, dying more things brown, a few snail mail cards written….)\u00c2\u00a0 but i was so glad not to have to go out during the drippiest part of the day.\u00c2\u00a0 boo, cold rainy sleety stuff!\u00c2\u00a0 although i do like the way it catches the light on the tips of these branches:<\/p>\n

i’ll end this short post with a cute picture of two of my young friends curled up in front of… the baby monitor!\u00c2\u00a0 (what a great show!\u00c2\u00a0 she’s sleeping!)<\/p>\n
