\"\"this one is an original!\u00c2\u00a0 a few years ago, i was building a superhero storytime kit and realized i had zero flannel stories that worked with the theme.\u00c2\u00a0 i stretched b-i-n-g-o to “there was a hero had a dog and bingo was his name-o!” but that wasn’t really enough (we usually like to include at least three options in each kit!), so after a fruitless search for something suitable, i realized i was going to need to write something myself.\u00c2\u00a0 here’s the rhyme and a scan of the flannel pieces<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 i should also mention that i did not draw the superhero girl.\u00c2\u00a0 i’d looked for long hours at clip art to try to find an appropriate pose and had come up completely empty-handed.\u00c2\u00a0 we happened to have a visiting artist do a program for us during that time and after a little wheedling, he sketched this cutie up for me. (i am totally embarrassed to admit that i can’t remember his name right now, but i’ll post it here as soon as i find it!<\/del>\u00c2\u00a0 Jay Rath!\u00c2\u00a0 His name is Jay Rath.\u00c2\u00a0 Thanks, Jay!)\u00c2\u00a0 feel free to use this in your own storytimes, but if you keep records of the resources you’ve used, i’d appreciate it if you credited me for my original poem.<\/p>\n
