today was such beautifully warm weather and the days are so nice and long now that when i got home, mr. happy stuff and i agreed that we wanted to walk to our favorite local mexican eatery for dinner.\u00c2\u00a0 it’s not very far away (maybe a mile?) from our house, but for some reason we’ve never walked there.\u00c2\u00a0 it’s usually too cold or we’re on our way to or from somewhere else…. it’s just never happened.\u00c2\u00a0 and i’m so glad it did tonight.\u00c2\u00a0 despite some possible blisters from wearing this particular pair of shoes for the first time this season…. it was such a nice walk!\u00c2\u00a0 we both noticed things we’ve never noticed before.\u00c2\u00a0 on streets that we drive and bike down all the time.\u00c2\u00a0 (i didn’t know there was a recording studio there!\u00c2\u00a0 wow, look at how wide they’ve carved that canal–it looks so nice now!)\u00c2\u00a0 plus, it made me feel less guilty for maybe eating a wee bit too much at the restaurant (note to self:\u00c2\u00a0 one tostada really is enough for a whole meal!).\u00c2\u00a0 i told mr. happy stuff that i think my new favorite season might be spring.\u00c2\u00a0 he still prefers fall and i have a soft spot for that season too, but … lengthening days where you are actually happy to be warm outside?\u00c2\u00a0 bright pink fluffy trees?\u00c2\u00a0 bright green newness?\u00c2\u00a0 nice.\u00c2\u00a0 very, very nice.<\/p>\n

his name is “kicky” and he’s licky’s<\/a> little brother.\u00c2\u00a0 he likes to play soccer, but sometimes he plays a bit too rough (that’s why he’s missing some teeth).\u00c2\u00a0 he’s got a spiky green ridge down his back and a bit of a unibrow.\u00c2\u00a0 but i still think he’s pretty cute.\u00c2\u00a0 actually, now that i’m looking at him, he looks a little bit like a simpson character, doesn’t he?\u00c2\u00a0 sort of barney eyes, homer color and moe overbite.\u00c2\u00a0 and what do you think–are the two purple spots double belly buttons?\u00c2\u00a0 oddly symmetrical natural coloring?\u00c2\u00a0 buttons on his otherwise invisible soccer uniform?\u00c2\u00a0 so many questions for such a cute monster.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" today was such beautifully warm weather and the days are so nice and long now that when i got home, mr. happy stuff and i agreed that we wanted to walk to our favorite local mexican eatery for dinner.\u00c2\u00a0 it’s … Continue reading
