it’s done! i finally finished the tote bag for my car quilt. i incorporated one last block (thanks, Liz!) into the front of the bag for a pocket. I wanted to make it easy to get access to the contents of the bag, but also not have it gapping open all the time, so one of the handles has a button:
which, when unbuttoned, allows the bag to open like this:
i’ll let you know how it works in the long run. i may switch to a buttonhole instead of an elastic loop… or i might just leave it. i do love the way it turned out!
here’s a sneak peek at my next quilting project. any guesses as to the quilt pattern i’m using? (hint: it’s an actual pattern, not just improvised!)

Looks fun! Oh and I have your (fishy) fabric :-)
I’ll mail it this week!! Email me your address!
That is such a cute bag/quilt holder!
I can’t wait to see what you’re working on next. I have no idea from this picture
you are such a genius! i think it’s brilliant with elastic.
I’m not nearly organized enough to have a bag for the quilts that get thrown into the back of my car – but that bag is a great idea to store all the ‘stuff’ that HAS to be in the car at all times!
it’s great! can’t wait to see the next project.
say… would you ever have these in your etsy shop? i’d buy one. ;)
